What is Tai Chi?

Also called Meditation in Motion, Tai Chi is a gentle & graceful form of Martial Arts that originated in China. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. This low impact fitness form helps to reduce stress & improves flexibility.

He has successfully completed the ‘Full Time Training’ under the strict supervision of Grandmaster Chen Zhonghua and is the first Indian to be authorized by Chinese Grandmaster Zhu Tian Cai to teach the original Chen Style T’ai Chi in India
Sensei Desai has studied Karate, (5th degree Black Belt from Okinawa-Japan-1989) T’ai Chi (Chen village,China- 1998) and Ashtanga Yoga from Shri KPJAYI Yoga Shala (Mysore-India), all from the original source.
Sensei was felicitated in by HON. Shri Narendra Modi, for doing sterling work of spreading T’ai Chi awareness in India. He is the author of ‘The Small Book of T’ai Chi’, and contributes regularly for the popular ‘Speaking Tree’ column in The Times of India. T’ai Chi instructional DVDs produced by Sandeep Desai are released by Times Music.
